On the tree

some people never see coconut trees but its good to know where things come from no? It grows on massive trees growing upwards of 300 feet sometime. Coconuts come in bunches so don’t just pick one!

Jelly Coconut

When it’s not quite mature yet and green, we call it jellies, or young coconut. The flesh from this is soft and thin. One of my favorite things ever eating a jelly!

Dry Coconut

Most recipes call for mature coconut or dry coconut. The hard shell and tough meat flesh aren’t as sweet as the jellies but have a subtle sweetness.

Good fi dih heart!

Coconut water is amazingly refreshing. So bust a coconut open and have some water today!
